Follow up to my order with Fast Tracks

Received my order today, everything was perfectly packaged. I also received a letter from Ron, apologizing for the delay in getting my order shipped. He even threw in an extra Bullfrog unit free of charge. I am impressed with their customer service and look forward to dealing with them in the future,

What was the reason for the delay?

Tim Warris and crew are good folks and make an excellent product. I’m glad things worked out for you, woodman.

Thank-you for posting this message. I am sure it means a lot to those of us who are supporters/believers in Tim Warris & Co., and sure to mean a ton to Tim as well.

In future, rather than couch one’s terms in the form of an accusation, perhaps our members could be a bit more circumspect about their misgivings and phrase those misgivings in the form of a question. Something like, “Has anyone ordered supplies from Fast Tracks? What sort of time-frame should I anticipate in respect of a delivery?” That way, no one is alarmed unnecessarily, the firm’s reputation, hard-won, isn’t going to be tarnished, and one is likely to acquire some useful and instructive information. Best of all, those misgivings are likely to be put to rest.

A thought for future reference.

Selector, thanks for your comments

It would be hard for ANYONE to know what your original post was as you have edited it beyond repair…

I read it when it was posted and also got the feeling that you were on edge with the situation…

Thanks for your comments

Woodman, I read your initial version of your first post and stand firmly behind my last one here. As a policy writer and instructor at a university, I don’t appreciate your snide tone. I stand by my comment, which was a direct reflection of your own public excoration of Tim Warris.

Whoa down there nelley. Are you aware that Selector (Crandell) is a moderator for this forum? He offers his own personal time for these services, and I don’t think you should be talking to him like that.

Thanks for your comments

(bold added for emphasis).

Sweet, sweet, Irony.

Homestar would approve!

They were waiting on an item in my order before they shipped

Once again, I am happy to learn that you are now satisfied, that you can move on and enjoy the items you selected, probably after some careful thought, and I hope you have fun with the turnout-making materials. I enjoyed mine, but it was definitely out of my comfort zone for the first hour or two. Eventually, I was able to make customized turnouts once I realized how simple they are to make.

Maybe you can post a photo of how you are making out, and of a turnout on your layout? [:P]

Cheers.
