Don’t understand how MBTA is wrestling with a 4.7 mile extension of the Green line (subway) north of Boston, that has estimated costs jumping well above the $2 billion amount. How can it cost over twice as much for less than half the distance of the CA extension. The new MA Gov. has been forced to try and get the total cost back to or under the $2 billion figure or facing cancellation of the project.
