For 3 nice deals at the Noblesville NMRA show today

I went to the nearby NMRA model RR show today, didnt take alot of money due to ongoing financial issues at home, but my wife allowed me a little spending $$ to try and enjoy myself with. Show had a nice size crowd when we got there about an hour after the doors opened. Right away I found an old blue box Athearn SD9 with metal trucks painted in black and custom lettered NW, numberboareds nicely decaled ect. Got it for $20 with the original box. I am not sure if it will stay NW or get repainted and detailed for our model train club home road. From that same table, but after I made a couple rounds to check for other things I might want, I bought a new in the box, blue box Athearn SP Olympic special SD40-2 that had never been built or run for $30. Last item I found was on old Atlas/Roco drive CB&Q SD24 diesel with Kaydee’s installed for $10!! A good day indeed! My friend found several trucks and other details for his layout along with a few freight cars. Everybody seemed to be having a great time and even an hour before the show closed, new folks were coming in the doors. Cheers Mike

Sounds like You had a good Day Mike, I also dont take a whole lot of cash to shows. I wish I could but current financial budget restraints prevent that. I am hoping the economy improves soon so I can afford more. I went to the Amherst Show yesterday and spent around $100 I bought a Bar Mills basics Structure, for $22.00 A JL innovations Structure for $48.00 An Accurail Bixcar lettered for the G&D for $10.00 a bottle of MTS ageing solution for $7.00 and a milk wagon $7.00 and a pkg of 25 pallets for $7.00. A pretty good haul I think.plus $5.00 parking,$10.00 attendence fee. Had a great day anyway.

Nuts! I completely forgot about it!

Probably just as well. I see the checkbook here breathing a huge sigh of relief…

Next weekend, the 6th of Feburary is the Kokomo show Jim. Come on up, its usualy a slightly larger show that the NMRA show today. I probably wont have any money to spend next weekend, unless some stuff I have for sale sells before then. But I will be there displaying my little Marklin layout and having fun non the less. Cheers Mike
