Me too, although it would be my sixth! CTC a while ago were offering different sturdy motor tools with a few dozen accessories, all in a plastic case. The body was covered in a rubbrized material. On sale for $19.99, I just bought one as a back up, couldn’t resist the price!
Of course, a while later they had the same set on for $12.99, and I got another back up for my back up! Gee, the accessories would cost way more than that if they were genuine Dremel. And with my CTC money, it cost me around $7.00! (Canadian Tire pays 3% on store and gaz purchases in their own CTC “money”. I buy all my gas from them , and accumulate their cash rather quickly).
Not anymore… CTC is paying about 1.5% if you use the card, and nothing if you use it outside the CrappyTire universe. They quietly changed their policies, and in mid July changed them again, claiming that their “market research” told them this was the right thing to do. Becoming more like a bank every day. Did I mention that they are now considered a bank?
I’d say they are more like loansharks than a bank considering the interest rate on their card (like most other large chain stores). The most profitable division of Sears is their credit division (which I think they are selling off now). Still, I might have to look at this. I just have a basic Dremel without the flex shaft and other fancy stuff, so this might work for me.
You might want to hurry, it is the current flyer only.
I already have a Dremel but bought this as an extra, I do this with drills too. Saves having to change bits all the time. And at this price, can’t go wrong.
