Randy - how is Maine as a new home? And since I probably won’t get there in this lifetime, what’s it like? (Just do a Mookie Quickie - don’t need a 12 page report!)

Watch out for those “Maine” breakers. Live all the time.

Simply put, It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Northern Maine is really wild wilderness . Maine has pretty mountain vista’s with clear rivers and lakes. The fall colors were unbelievable !!! I think the good lord spent some time here working on the colors !!!
The RR here is like some thing from the early 1900s. Most of the coaling towers still stand and appear to be ready for service. I don’t think they ever scrap anything here.
thanks Mook
Randy
[sigh] Now I am homesick and I have never been there.
Thanx Randy
Are they still on 26,000 lbs rail too?

Randy, like Mook, have never been there. But it sounds real good from your
description. Got any pictures?
Sounds like a place that could cure anything. I’ll make it there someday…dont know how and dont know when but I plan on heading to the east coast sometime and railfan so its not all that far out of reallity.
I’m working on getting a digital camera. I’ll be sure to post a bunch when I do.
Randy
BTW…air fare ain’t as much as you might think, if you plan ahead.
There’s trains in them there hills! The hills of Maine, that is.
Good to hear you’re doing fine, hope to see some nice new pix soon on here!
Randy
glad things are going good.
stay safe
