For those of you who missed it....

Rod Stewart was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last Thursday and he talks about his layout…it’s looking so good, I can’t wait for December’s issue.

Here’s the link to the show; Rod’s segment is after Clint Eastwood:

Are they doing another spread on Rod Stewart’s layout? The first one was in Dec 2007. It will be interesting to see how much addition he has made in the last three years

It wasn’t as horrible as people said in the other thread. They made fun for a while but Jimmy got a little serious once he started showing the pictures. And once Rod mentioned other artists, specifically Roger Daltrey, who are in to model railroading.

Hey if just ONE person watching said hey, if it’s good enough for Rod Stewart, it’s good enough for me, we’ve won.

Rod Stewart is doing the hobby a great service, by “coming out of the closet” and being willing to put up with the ignorant laughter to promote the hobby. Most people have no idea what being a model railroader entails. You are a carpenter, civil engineer, architect, electrician, electronics technician, painter, sculptor, artist, historian, and above all, a craftsman. And that list is probably very incomplete. That a man of Mr. Stewart’s prominence can promote the hobby, as a hobby, speaks well for model railroading and for model railroaders.
