I havent posted a photo of myself as i havent found one I like.
It is a Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Uniform. I’m still a member, albiet my role is as a public affairs officer for the CAP unit in Corpus Christi, Texas. Essentially it is an Air Force Uniform with grey epaulets.
Good Mission, Capt… May all the ELT’s be from hard landings and not pranged pilots. Slick from KTTN, flight school dispatcher, also member of CAF. (not CAP)

Let me tell you, we have found some ELTs in some strange places, among which are in dumpsters, strange trailerhouses and one time we chased one all over South Texas in the back of some bloke’s car.
We have had our share of actual crashes, including a grizzly helicopter crash in the Rio Grande Valley; a very sad way to earn a “Rescue Find” metal. I have been very affected by it…
All in allm I enjoy CAP, but I have had to retreat from via since the nearest unit is in Corpus Christi. Thus I am the PAO, writing stories on what happens for the papers.

How are you enjoying retirement? Does it beat doctoring?
On that issue, yesterday I was at a gig and part of my routine is slapstick dancing. Well, yesterday I took a real fall!!! Even though I rolled it into the routine, I expected to be somewhat sore today…yet I feel fine. Does that mean I’m in the clear or should expect pain tomorrow?
Well, back to trains…that Hogwarts train is awesome!! It is the original is it not? Is it on a rail spur or on permanent display (can’t really tell from the image)?
