Well, I was reading Fordsmagazine, and indeed their new truck, the F-150 Super Chief, was styled after, no, not a locomtoive, but the interior of ATSF’s passenger cars…Your thoughts?
Personally I think the outside looks like an ALCo PA, but thats just me.
Sounds like a potential trademark lawsuit to me.
I looked at Ford’s website and dont see anything about a new truck,Is this next year’s new design or a concept truck?
…Believe it’s a concept truck. It was pictured in one of my automotive mags recently.

RE: The Ford monster truck, I just came from the website , what a tank ! ! ! My response was much like a British war minister in world war 2 when he was asked to view a new American night fighter, the P-61, “Black Widow”, now this was a very radical huge twin engine monster of an aircraft, the Brit looked at the rest of his staff and replied " My God !! This could only have been created by the Americans ! !

It looks like yet another overpriced piece of crapola to appeal to soccermoms and dorks with far too much money on their hands. Seriously it’s a truck. The only things that should be luxury on a truck are an automatic tranny and a cigarette lighter. Ten bucks says the only time one of those chunks of crap will see off-road action is if the doofus driving it backs into a flower bed.
I don’t think Ford will actually build this thing… They’re better off producing a better T bird revival on the Mazda MX5 platform… The 1955 to 5- Thunderbird was tiny, and so is the Mazda. And they’re both convertibles… It could go for under 30 grand. Would be good on gas too…
But What I really want is a 1990-95 8 cylinder 5 speed F150 that’s not rusted out…
