[#welcome] HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOO JIMMY, AND WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE FUN GROUP!
Excellent reference…might be well suited to the religious fanatics thread as well
To our new compatriot Jim Allen[#welcome]!
Thanks for the correct spelling. The other Texan I hear use that word usually says “nucular” [:D]

Welcome to a most interesting and varied cast of characters. We all have a lot of fun here and are anxious to contribute to and share our collective knowledge and misinformation.

That’s just in reference to the nucular family…
Only a couple of rules here…NEVER go around gates or pick up anything trackside-like knuckles, couplers,FREDs,or that nifty little thing with wires on it.
I use to live in Lake Dallas. The DGNO? or dogno, , at one point could be seen there. I worked EMS in Fort Worth and never paid any attention to tower 55. I know, I know, how could I? But that was before I got really wise and went to train dispatch school and flirted with my now-husband and flunked the class and took some train pictures and learned what the phrase “Honey, I have a few books,” really meant.
Sorry…I am babbling. Welcome to the family.
So when Mark says his wife “was a real catch” he wasn’t kidding…literally hook, line and sinker…
Indeed.

stay safe

G’day, Nuclear Winter:
The initials of your handle could stand for Norfolk and Western. I was down your way three years ago and went to the stockyards in Fort Worth. Great steaks down there for some reason! Did the steam engine that takes the tourist train to town get fixed? They told me it was having boiler problems.

It comes to my attention that i have not properly introduced myself.
I am 13,have a job on a REAL railroad, (yes, i get to play with other peoples full size trains:) I love anything trains, i will not bring up amtrak, the D.M.I.R. rocks and they will aneilelate you at first sight Union Pacific!!!
Oh yeah, these forums are the best in the world I think, lots of info, great group of men/women,railroaders,“foamers”,railfans, rail nuts, and many other kinds of people!
(oh, when they say hang on, they mean "hold on like your riding a boxcar through a hump yard at night going 50 mph)
WELCOME!!
WELCOME NUCLEARWINTER: Like Mark I had the great good fortune of getting caught by a woman smarter than I was and she is a musician to boot. As a native of GA living in NC and a died in the wool Bulldog that thinks there is no railroad better than an American one and the AB&C rules; Welcome again to the most interesting forum you will ever be a part of.[#welcome][tup]
Welcome;
My real name is Andrew Little
I am a 25 year old student of many things. Come September, I am heading to collage to train to be a customs officer. I also am training to be a concert pianist.
Most of my railroading is watching or simulating.
I enjoy all kinds of dicussion, debate (friendly only), and the general exchange of all knowledge including of course trains.
[#welcome] and see you around the forum.[:)]
