What? Could you not see the sun before???

I knew better. I had a friend, Phaethon, who foolishly looked at the sun while driving and crashed his vehicle.

Serves him right. He should have kept his eyes on the road.

seems like there is a growing number of off topic posts for the purpose of driving up post counts and getting Trains.com reward coupons that are diluting the focus of threads.

what do numerous posts about Catract surgery have to do the Forgotten Locos?

Enough about cataract surgery, LOL. You’re right about all of us hiding in our basements. Returning to the subject of Forgotten Locos, it reminded me of a 2010 photo that I took of a portion of my layout to share with an online friend. When he saw the photo, he reply was simply, “Someone has way toooo many CNW diesels”. Slowly, but surely, I sold them all off. Gone, but not really forgotten.

Another i recently found haha my first Kato, first release of the sd45,it was a UP. Then about 5yrs later(whenever BLMA started) it became my first strip/detail/paint/weather loco. I loved and still love beat up locos/freight cars(grain mostly)so it got the"treatment"!

I like all the backgrounds you have in your photos. Did you make the trees or were they purchased?

I hadn’t noticed the fade on the flag until you mentioned it. So, I went back and blew up the photo to get a good look. Very nice!

Ive got to get in on this thread - theres a number of loco projects I havent touched in months or even years lol! Good work as always, sad to see good work like that be stripped and repainted, but knowing your quality of work I’m sure they’ll be better than ever!

I said I would be here, and here I am!

I have had this old High Hood SD35 for nearly as long as I’ve been in the hobby. It was the first non-trainset locomotive I ever got! It came to me as an N&W unit, but it has since worn a blue scheme for a fictional railroad I had at one point. Since I have since switched my fictional railroad’s freight roster to basically all 4 axle power I’ve decided to add some steam generator details to the high hood roof and convert this unit into a SDP35 that the B&CCS will use for its last decade of passenger operations before finally relenting and handing over its passenger trains to Amtrak in 1975.
