Formatting a message.

How can I add spaces between my paragraphs? When I write the post everything is formatted correctly. But when I hit “post” the message is reformatted and put into one big mess. It even works that way if I copy and paste a formatted MS Word document. I’m using an iMac with Firefox, if that matters.

Insert one of these taking our the quotes:

Chris

I just hit the return twice. When it shows up on the forum it is single spaced.

All good suggestions. However, this was a bug that crept in when they upgraded to the new website.

Supposedly, it was fixed. It seems to be working OK for me. Maybe it’s a Mac thing (I’m using Windows XP with Firefox 5.0).

No, it’s just fairly straightforward HTML actually. Signle blank is ignored, double blank is a new paragraph (or use the < p > tag).

Another forum I’m on strips leading spaces on lines so even though I space my name over like here it ends up agaisnt the left side.

Notice there does seem to be a difference in the Quick Reply vs the regular reply. In my previous message I did NOT press enter twice - As I type paragraphs in Quick Reply they are spaced with the extra line between and it stays that way after I click Post.

WIth regular reply - I think it will put them together.

Edit: or not, could be a browser thing.

I’m using a Mac G5 running OSX.5.8 and Firefox… No problem here. I think It is Problem with this sites software and Safari…

Just my [2c] after a single return on my Mac!

I can get the spacing but, if I may ask here, how do I get numbering to stay numbered and not go to bullit points please?

Thanks
