Former Grand Trunk Western President John H. Burdakin dies
Sad to hear of Mr. Burdakins passing. I never had the honor of meeting the man in person, but I know that he kept the GTW on top in those miserable 1970’s, that saw so many other “Eastern-Midwestern” RR’s go bankrupt. GTW was always a “Top-Notch” outfit in the “Burdakin Years”. “R.I.P.” Mr. “B” !!!
