Gets fired from MBTA and moves up to NTSB. That makes sense.
Get rewarded for total failure. Typical government move. What are they thinking?
Note - Being in charge of an operation is entirely different from investigating accidents and making safety recommendations…two related but distinctly different jobs, one does not reflect on the other. At least that’s how anyone that really knows how to hire and run a business/government agency should be doing it…but we all know they don’t.
I generally agree with your assessment, Gerald, but this is a prime example of “failing up.” Getting a better job in the same or related industry simply because you held the previous post, without regard to your performance, is how I define it.
She was tight with former MA Governor Deval Patrick who is an old Chicago friend of Obama, That’s the connection. She’s another transportation “expert” found after a nation-wide search. She looks and talks like she could be a waitress at Moe’s Diner.
Throws in the towel on one job because of criticism and failure of leadership and gets appointed to a higher paying federal job. Boy, Obama sure doesn’t show any shame when it comes to looking out for his political hacks ! Shameful shameful state of our government !!
Mr Klippel: Beverly Scott’s salary at MBTA WAS $220,000 @ year. Her salary at NTSB will be $155,000.
