I grew up riding these coaches on the Beverly Branch into LaSalle Street Station. Even when the Rock placed a limited fleet of new bilevels into service in the 60’s and 70’s, the Al Capone railcars were still needed to cover the rush hour schedules. The original wicker seats were covered with ugly vinyl in the 60’s. Some great memories, now all I need is a wife who thinks purchasing the car is a great idea!
