Wow, I never thought I would see a tunnel motor in CN paint. But hey man, that is a sharp looking unit. Those CN colors look good on it. Thanks for shareing. [8D]
NO WAY! DMIR, eh? I woulda never thought of that. They look pretty sharp!
Matthew
Is that an IC E unit behind it?
I wonder when intermountain will release a model…
Matthew
Didn’t take long for CN to start repainting the old Missabe units…
Randy
cool and shiney I would like it in SP paint better than CN
kevin
Hmmmm…I think I will paint my DRGW tunnel motor into CN colors…I have necer thought of a CN tunnel motor
well at least we know they will be around for some time now.
After all, how many tunnels does CN have? Not many at all…
not bad…still like the DM&IR better
There’s the tunnel at East Dubuque, on the former CC.
Never thought I’d see a tunnel motor in CN colors. Now,if it was in the old green and black scheme, that would be really cool[8D]!
I like tunnel motors in just about all thier paint schemes except Uncle Putrid’s yellow[:(!][xx(]!
As sad as I usually find it to see fallen flags get painted over, I have to say that that is one snappy looking locomotive! As the others have said, I never would have thought I’d see the day! Hopefully Shaun is right and they will be around for many years to come.
I second that one!
[xx(] Pukes… This is a disgrace. DMIR just got violated big time. I really didnt think CN would ever touch these units. I never liked CN ( besides the WC side of things ) and now even more mad. DMIR was really cool, looked great, and now we are stuck with a noodle [tdn][tdn][tdn][tdn][tdn][sigh][censored][:(][V][B)][:(!]

You might want to hold off on that. First, DRGW’s paint scheme looks better. Second, I think all of the DMIR tunnel motors are former SD45T-2s, DRGW only had SD40T-2s.
I feel the same way. [;)]
well non of the WC SD45’s got repainted because they are to be retired as soon as the new CN power arrives. Anything that is reapinted is likley rebuilt therefore has plans for the future.
Ex DMIR… wow I am speechless
Like the great work here folks. Glad i found this page.
