Any good hobby shops in the Fort Worth area? I’ll be down that way, but I think we’ll be pushed for time, so there probably won’t be a whole lot of time for browsing, but if any of them are in a strip mall or somewhere near a place we could drop mom off to entertain herself, we might get a chance to visit a place or two.
Gainesville too, that’ll be on the way back home, I doubt if there will be anything there though, its not a very big town.

I don’t know about Fort Worth, but there is a fantastic one in Addison (just north of Dallas). Discount Model Trains.
trainwreck i live 35 miles east of gainesville and its a medium sized town 1 hobby shop listed in the yahoo yellow pages not sure if its still in business or what hobbies they have. if you get model railroader you can always look there for hobby shops in d/fw.
however in gainesville there is lots of railroad action, even a museum in the old santa fe depot which is now used by amtrak, if you exit us 82 east to sherman you’ll cross over the yard there, also i heard a few yrs back that if you into the yard with a camera they will let you alone no camera get out.
Rsi Toys & More 4321 N Interstate 35 # 530 (940) 668-1921 here is the name address and phone number for the shop in gainesville.

There is a pretty good shop in Denton, about halfway between FW and Gainsville. It is about a mile off of the interstate. Look in the ads in MR.
