It certainly wasn’t easy over there but the new forums are on path to rebound to what things were like about 15 to 20 years ago. We lost a lot of old members due to life conclusions but we’ve gained a lot more from the social media side of things that never frequented or even knew about the old forums. Can’t say I blame them, compared to Facebook the old system was an Atari 2600.

FWIW, my introduction to forums was the trainnet forum on Compuserve (CIS) at the tail end of 1990 - having gotten a start on CIS with my first telephone modem, with a rip-roaring 2400 baud connection speed. Now I have a fiber connection that was upgraded to 2Gbps a couple of months ago.
