There is a “Fostoria” in:
Alabama
Iowa
Kansas
Michigan
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Texas
I guess that the name of your web site being GreatLakesLive MAY mean Fostoria is near lake Michigan, Lake Erie or Lake Ontario. But that only possibly eliminates Iowa, Kansas and Texas. (Edit: Oh yeah, and Alabama, too.)
I suppose that there are lots of railfans that have some idea what the Fostoria Diamonds are, but I would bet there are lots more people that, like I, have no idea where in the world they are.
I am always amazed why so many web sites, expecially TV stations and Newspapers, fail to list the State/Country of their location on their websites, and I have never understood why.
Semper Vay, the Fostoria in question is the one in Ohio. Definitely worth visiting! It’s a triangular crossing of three busy rail lines (two CSX, one NS).
(Fostoria, Michigan, used to be on a C&O branch line, now long gone. I don’t know anything about the others)
having a problem with the page link.if they are going to webcam are they going to have 2 spots?(one for ns/c&o and one for ns/b&o).would be interesting to watch on rainy days like today.

Gee, all that energy expended in your response. All you had to do was simply ask where Fostoria is at.
The Fostoria in question is located in Ohio.
Joe, just tested the link and it works fine.
The video camera is not yet going.

Keep checking the main page for further updates.

Sure I could have just asked, but the last time I did that I got blasted for being too lazy to take the time to look it up someplace. So I went through the exercise of doing a DeLorme Street Atlas and Google Earth searches as well as some searches using Google and Bing search engines.
Anyway…check out the site:
The Fostoria online video is now online!!!
Check it out (along with the Fostoria Scanner) at:
Awesome thanks!!!
Just saw my first train on the camera. Actually it wasnt one, there was a meet. Doublestack and intermodal
Looks great!
Both feeds are busy, I’ll check later… Thanks for posting!
Looks like the site can only handle 50 people. And I wonder how many of those 50 are even watching it, or do they just have it running in the background? Technology is great. Before I didn’t even need a computer to not be able to watch trains in Ohio, now through the wonders of the internet, I can not do it online maybe not…no?
The little side chat is busy, though.

As of today, apparently, the limits have been lifted. There were 120 or more people watching, and I had no problem getting on.
I like that it’s live all the time, with sound, and able to be enlarged to full-screen size. I certainly wouldn’t mind if that could be done with our Rochelle webcam!
I just got in myself with 126 folks watching…No problems at all.
Its a really nice picture as well.
Yeah, it is pretty cool.
Some of the sidebar chatters need a sense of humor, though.
I like it.
I could do without the radio chatter being streamed on it, though. Hear enough of that stuff at work.
