I have posted your link on the FYI thread.
OLD DAD
I had to laugh when I read your comment about it being for Mac. Usually, it’s for PC and not Mac. Thank you for adding it to your list, Old Dad. I have already referred it to folks calling me, looking for info.

So did I!
Whenever I read someone’s comment regarding an “Apple” product I always think to myself : Real justice would have been christianing the Wintel combo as the “Lemon” and some of the Windows software i.e. InternetExplorer the “Bananas”.
At least we could have had some decent juice.
But alas it was not to be!
BTW I’m one of the Win users who curses at least once a day and I’m using the OS with the best rep and the fewest security flaws.
I also try to stay as far as possible from MS products if there are alternatives.

Good luck! I even went so far as to download into my win98se [}:)] because some times, just some times the operations will work. Not this one. lol
Have a great time…
Let us know how it handled [:D]
got it installed and it looks great. there are a lot of inv. items to choose from. the default was Aristo brass, this is great, thats what i use. but it all all listed, LGB, Bachmann, etc. then I saw that it also has n,s,HO,O scale inv. items as well. what a bargin. all this for free. Then I found the Scalectric inv item too. slot car racing, another “i wish i had more time to get into” hobby.
I am a beginer, so i dont know all the factory items by item number by heart yet, I only know them as 4’, 5’, 8’ Dia turn or length of the straight. If i remember right the 5’ is 11500. but once i know the items by item # i will dive into getting my layout designed. I wanted to spend some time on it over the 4th weekend, but it became busier than i planned.

Now, I am truely greatful I posted it.
When I come across stuff like this I don’t normaly post.
Like I have several digital art wall papers, there cool looking and did not know if people would like to see a post of that.
You just never know.
Glade your happy with it, EXTREAME G Scale [:D]
I have spent a half hour on this, and it works really good.
It IS a demo, so no saving or printing, but I can always just do screen grabs and have my plans saved that way, no biggy.
I have found one issue though, it only lists the Aristo brass of US versions, not all of them. When i started to purchase the Aristo track, i didnt know better and ended up buying the Euro versions. I hear that the diff is the distance between each tie in the tracks, and to me thats no big deal. BUT here is the kicker, Aristo makes a 30 degree crossing in Euro but NOT in US so, that inv item is NOT listed. So, i went to the LGB inv list and used that one. I HAVE an aristo 30 cross so i know it exists, but only in Euro. The US and Euro have different IDs too. exp: 5’ dia turn : Euro - 11500 US - 30110. So you NEED to know the item ID you want, its a bit hard to tell by just the graphic. Good thing St. Auburn lists both item IDs in their advertising adds.
So i was able to build a layout using the US IDs pretty quickly. there are ways to add other items too. and then there is a 3D viewer built in, so you can do a fly by view, it works well. I didnt play with adjusting the elevation, so my 3D was boring. but my layout will be simple anyhow and i probably wont have any elv. change anyhow.
All in All, good product.
Thanks for making it known to the forum.

I checked out the demo and was so impressed I bought the software. I am a Mac user though and it is nice to find something that is “exclusive” for a change. The 3-D mode is very cool, but you can only select a wood or grass type background. I am hoping to play with it a little bit to see if I can import files from another 3-D app like lightwave or Cinema 4-D. This program with its awesome track libraries has solved several layout headaches for me already. I would imagine they will be coming out with a Windows version sometime soon. Thanks for the great lead!
