Foundations/Donors WANTED

Hi, everyone.-

Anyone know of any Philantropists/Foundations/Donors to help w/the costs

of a Building for a Model Railroad Museum in PA. or NJ…???

Getting desperate as I’ve been searching since 1999 w/ the cost of my Home which

is only $225K. Apparently is not enough. The Buildings that I can afford all by myself

were useless, too small and in bad locations. I missed out of some buildings because

I could not afford them. However, once I get a Building- Future Members will

help w/ any future financial problems ( like cost of Wood & upkeep)). The only things I could not save was the wood & I even saved a bit of that too.

I have enough Equipment/Material/Rolling Stock in ‘N’, ‘HO’ & Atlas 2 rail to

open a Model RR Museum/Hobby/Gift Shop. I plan To have Clinics to get

Modelers back to Scratchbuilding.

I’m going on 77 & the museum project should have already been done, so now it’s

getting to be a fight for time as I’d like to finish (in 5 years) before my future demise.

Ideas, Suggestions wellcomed.

PS. When I mentioned the 3 Scales- I mean 3 different operating LAYOUTS.

Already have the plans in ‘N’. Also I’ve been saving odds & ends including a few

prototype items since 1949 to show/display…

Check that site out, I did a google search and found lots of info for train related charitable foundations

You might consider renting a space. I know its not ideal by any means but it will get you into a building. The club I belong to is around 50 years old and just 7 (or 8… or 6, I cant remember) years ago we were actually able to have a 5000 square foot building built for us, we were renting before that. When the club moved we did lose our old layout so if you do rent you probably want to use modular construction.
