Has anyone seen a American Flyer set w/4 track pre war about 1935 freight train. Locomotive is not working getting power as light comes on, tender is in good shape as is the whole set, any help would be welcome.

the 0 gauge AF 4’th rail operated the whistle. Like Lionel, the fwd / rev motion was a stepping relay (FWD / OFF / REV). It sound’s like that is what is no longer working.
A train store specializing in old 0 gauge repair SUCH AS MIZELL’s might be able to fix, as no AF 0 guage parts are still made.
MIZELL’S is in either Westmister or Arvada CO, and run’s an ad in MODEL RAILROADER.
