On Friday night at Trainfest the Milwaukee-N-Southeastern club had the opportunity to run the only operating N scale Hiawatha set. Matt allowed us to carefully carry over to the layout for a test run. Since our club has one, if not the only N scale layout there with a grade. The 4 car set and locomotive looked GREAT !!. They ran well too. The locomotive pulled the 4 cars up a 2% grade with no real slippage. This made Matt happy.
Matt from FVM and former MNSE member said that this was a working test model and some “tweeking” will probably happen before production. He also mentioned that all of his other N scale production is on hold until the Hiawatha is ready for release. Good Luck
