Where or who on-line can I get an FP7A body only, no motor or runnning gear. Undecorated or in CP Marroon and grey colors. Thanks.
Intermountain sells their bodies in undecorated kit form.

Atlas usually has some body shells for sale, could see if they have some from their old FP units.
Don’t go with the Atlas Shell. It is not state of the art. For one thing, the windshields are wrong. Years ago, I tried to graft a Stewart cab to the Atlas shell and it would not work as the cab height was way off too.
CPbuff;
Personally, I really like Highliners, however, to put the ‘P’ in F7 is major surgery… One needs 2 shells, a front & a back being sawn out of each, to then be bound into one complete shell. It sounds complex, (& can be [not done casually in one’s lap]) but makes a great model. I (think) you are leaning toward a ‘ready to go’ shell, so I’ll stop here. I will say, I’m told that the Ath Genesis FP7 shells ‘are’ Highliner molds, so if you want the best, try to find one of those that has entered the ‘Parts market’ & you may be very pleased. With that said, any of the Highliners parts are very available & fit perfectly, as I have swapped parts on a Genesis with on-hand HL parts, & the only problem was paint matching!
Wish you best of luck ,
I have a couple of Intermountain sets of FP7’s in the CPR maroon and gray livery. I used to only buy the Athearn Genesis sets, but since Intermountain has expanded their offerings I find I prefer the Intermoutain bodies over the Genesis. The newest Intermoutain are excellent running locomotives.
Contact Intermountain and see if and when they will have any FP7 CPR shells/bodies for sale.
Wabash,
So is Atlas using the same FP7 shells that were produced during the 90s? I have an Atlas HO ACL FP7 that I bought new in the early 90s and the windshields do have that “squinty-eyed” look.
I stand to be corrected but I think the die work on the Atlas FP7 is Roco die work who originally came out with the model.
