FRA awards TIGER grants to repair track in Oklahoma, California
I Google Earthed the line between Sayre, Okla. and Erick and the line looks to be out of service upon seeing the roads paved over the tracks between those two points. However, this is good news That Farm Rail is receiving the funds to reopen that line.
Now if they can just get money tor repair the line between Weatherford, OK and Bridgeport, OK. That way the old RI Choctaw Route would be active from Erick to Shawnee. Plus it would give Farmrail another interchange point with Union Pacific in El Reno bypassing BNSF. As Farmrail and BNSF have had issues over the years as Farmrails only Class 1 interchange partner.
