FRA Rigidity on Passenger Train speeds

Actually if you want to play against the PLAN Veterans and Russian Military Veterans, then the game you want is Conflict of Nations. They frequently both break the “English only” rules and write in their native language so you have to use the internet translator to figure out their colorful metaphors at times (he-he-he, doing my part for international relations). The game is moderated by Germans in Germany and it has Gerald Ford Class Carriers and B2 Bombers. My screen name in there is JAN_FONDA(lol)…Vietnam Vets are cool with it.

Beyond that and back to rail. It would be really nice if someone started a thread on rail based games for the MR or Trains forum available via STEAM. And it would be even cooler if we could form a Trains Discussion Forum, team to play against other teams or countries.

I’d love to play a good game of High Speed FAIL!

Sounds about the same as my Navy days in the 70s. Jeez even Amtrak has a better availablity rate! :smirk:

I’d prefer playing High Speed Success. I’d rather go faster than slower.

I’m marking off sick.

The CNW was ATC. Automatic train control. Included cab signals and speed control.

ATS like on the ATSF was just an inductor looking like a short piece of third rail. It had no cab signal. Just an audio alerter and a button or handle to silence. Failure to silence would trip the brakes.

I corrected. ATC is still found on the Galena division, now UP. ATS was on the Harvard and Kenosha divisions.

ATC was discontinued a couple of years ago.

The third largest state based on population ranked third in highway deaths, how harmonious. The states with a higher death count on the highways? California and Texas, which just so happen to be the two states with populations larger than Florida…

10 minutes slower, with an additional station stop (Summit). That will account for about 5 minutes of it when figuring deceleration and acceleration.

US1 does that from in NE Florida where it runs along the FEC, and it did in the Aventura are in SE Florida.
