Theres for more than against, politicians mostly want it. Except the bujua rich in Palm Beach who can afford Mabauchs & Rolls’s
Those NIMBY groups are based North of West Palm Beach FWIW, mostly in Martin and Indian River County, with a few in St Lucie (sandwiched between the two but with a slightly less NIMBY outlook.) Those in West Palm Beach and points South are /generally/ on board with the project and have no loudmouth contrarian supporters.
In two minds about whether to go, largely because my wife will get annoyed if I spent too much time there and because I don’t want to get into an argument with anyone. (I live in the NIMBY region.) I do have concrete concerns about the project I’d like to see addressed, though as you might expect, I have a very different take on the project from the antis…
Mr Harrison you should go and make your views known. Explain to your wife it is a civic responsibility. Or maybe a railfan event.
Mr Narita - heh, yeah, maybe some context needed: We’re currently raising a toddler who’s having sleep problems right now. Wife is permanently exhausted and needs as much support as I can give her. (I’m tired too, which is probably why that didn’t come out quite how I wanted it!)
I’ll see how she feels tomorrow morning and go from there.
