The Frackville display layout will be open on Sunday from noon - 5pm. We generally have about 10 “O” scale Hi-Rail trains running on our 24’ x 55’ multi-layer layout. The layout is based on the Mahanoy Valley from the Buck Mt. Tunnel through Mahanoy City and all the little towns and patches and ends up in Ashland. It is a Steam Era Coal Hauling RR based on the Reading and PRR. We have an automated conventional line with 6 trains starting and stopping on their own. We also have a command control line with DCS and TMCC. You’ll see mighty Reading T-1’s, Camelbacks, 2-8-0’s, and more. Our scenery man Jim McManus has been working on the scenery and there is a little something new to see every few weeks. So if it’s a Hot Humid or Rainy day and maybe you need to do some back to school shopping please come see us. We are conveniently located in the Schuylkill Mall at the intersection of I-81 and State Hwy 61 at the South end of Frackville. We are in the end of the mall where the former Steve & Barry’s department store was located. We are across from the Payless shoe store. We look forwarded to seeing you, Dave
