Frame for Austrian built Atlas GP40? Yellow box version

Was curious if anyone knows where to find a frame for an Atlas HO GP40 (Austrian) built? I had disassembled my new (used)Ebay purchase the other day to clean up the insides and to repaint the frame and install a decoder. Unfortunately while carrying several frames around to paint I accidentally dropped the GP40 frame onto the wood floor in my home, cracked the frame right behind the motor cradle area and broke off completely. I tossed it as it was not repairable. Atlas only has running gear parts for these and that is about it. Even the motors are no longer available they told me by email. I will keep the running gear and shell in case I am able to locate a frame. I guess this is why I only paid twenty something dollars for it. [:(]
Thanks,
Brad

Check with Con-Cor: http://www.con-cor.com/roundhse/hoparts.htm
You will need to let them know how many screw holes are in the bottom of the frame. Yours should have 2.

Hope you get it fixed,
Jim

Brad;

20-20 hindsight - should not have tossed it, could have been repaired with a couple pieces of brass angle. Alternatively, you could build a frame up from scratch out of brass angle. - see articles by Brenda Bailey and others.

Jim,
You are right, it did have two holes for the motor mount screws and two pads to isolate the frame from the chassis.

Nigel,
I had a feeling that someone would tell me that. Oh well, I am now the wiser for your info.
Thanks for the help,

Brad,
I have many of the older Rocos. They always seemed to have a weak frame, especially the thin bolster crossmember. A few times, I had to epoxy the frame. The repairs were shortlived, though. I had modified and kitbashed 2 GP40s and painted them in WM circus. Proto Power West had offered The Athearn leaded frames modified to fit the Roco shells. This was some time ago, not sure if they are still available.
I think I still have some of the older frames around someplace. Contact me off list, If I find one It’s your’s for just the shipping. They are good running locos even by todays standards, even though some of the details tend to be clunky.
