Fred Harvey

OK, I distinctly remember a Fred Harvey Coffee Shop and Gift Store in the Cleveland Union Terminal back in the 50’s Friends tell me I’m dillusional…that Fred Harvey never got that far East. Somebody clear my foggy brain.

Check this link. 12th paragraph down refers to a Harvey operation in Cleveland Union Station:

Thanks, Ed. I appreciate the vindication…both with friends and in my own mind. The Cleveland Union Station was also the terminus for the Rapid Transit (electric interurban). That is how my father got to and from work. He would stop at the Fred Harvey for birthday gifts. The most special were the collections of “lead” solders. Long gone but worth a fortune now. Again, Thanks. It is great reading.
