For all of you who see the Internet Trains offer of a free multi-tester for a $100.00 purchase you can buy it like me for $22.98 with shipping and handling or you can go to Harbor Freight and buy it for $2.99 plus shipping and handling, which is $10.18 total, pretty good, huh? I just bought a spare from them when I saw the site on the packaging, not the $20.00 or $14.99 that Internet Trains sells it for.

Everyone should have one. At that price, I should get another. I have the same one minus the transistor checking function, I paid $5 for it when the HF one was $10. But at $3, I think I need another. They’re fine for what they are, just not super ultra high precision laboratory equiment. In other words - for what anyone needs for basic household things and model railroading, more than adequate. It even has a high amp range that can be used to check loco current draws.
