Free for the taking....

Due to a drastic change in my life in the past year, I no longer have a layout room, nor do I have space in my new residence to build a new layout or use the layout I dismantled. If you live close enough or are willing to come pick this up, it is yours for the taking. The module pictured below is about 9’6" long and 4’ at its widest point. The industry tracks along the edge were laid for use with the Walthers Glacier Gravel structure. All track is MicroEngineering Code 83 and any turnouts on the module are Walthers Shinohara Code 83.

If you are serious about claiming and picking this up, please contact me via PM.

Thanks,

Don Z.

Since all of your Photobucket images have been deleted, are your items still available? (I don’t want them!)

Bob,

They still exist…I’m trying to figure out the “new and improved” method for inserting photos…they appear in the preview of the post, but not in the post. I guess that makes sense.

I used both the old method of trying to use the IMG link and then the direct link…any suggestions?

Don Z.

Don Z,

Sorry to hear that you have to give up modeling. I had wondered why you hadn’t been posting. Your work looks very good.

I want to thank you and wish you well. You probably don’t remember but you responded with answers to several of my posts

Thanks and good luck

Bob

Your images show OK in my browser.

We will miss your input.

The module looks great. I wish I lived in Texas. I would take it in a heartbeat. But alas…

I wish any part of my layout looked half that good Don. And I like others wish you the very best.

It is sad that you had to give up something you loved so.

I am struggling with a decision to take down and store my small HO pike as we really need the space for storage. There wasn’t really room for it to begin with, but I forced the issue and built it. Now it is becoming an issue.

Perhaps you can build a small shelf diorama or shadow box to keep in the train business? That is what was suggested to me.

Thanks for all of the kind words. I am only temporarily without a layout. I am looking at my current domicile as a transition to my next home which will have room for both a woodworking shop and a layout, enabling me to enjoy both of my passions.

I have built a 5x5 table and am constructing a roundhouse facility on the table with the plans of using it on my future layout.

I hope I can find someone that could use this part of my layout…if not, it will meet my sawz-all next weekend.

So…nobody in Texas wants a jump start on some mountain terrain? I thought for sure someone would claim the module. Alas, it is destined for the dumpster on Saturday.

Don Z.

Couldn’t figure out how to PM on this new forum, I thought “start conversation” might do it, but no way of knowing if that’s it. Anyway, I am interested if still available. Contact info in that “conversation” if you can figure out how to retrieve it.

Earl

It’s a great day! Thanks for saving this from the dumpster!! I found your PM and replied to you. Also sent you an email to the address supplied.

Thanks again,

Don Z.

Glad to hear someone near you is taking your hardwork and not going to waste.

Good luck with the new home and new layout.

Looks like I’m a bit late to claim it (I’m going to be in Austin in 2 weeks). Figuring out how to get it back to Florida with an 84 LTD LX would be the fun part.

At least it found a home, good to see it’s not going into the dumpster.
