I found this website, in my research on weathering my massive container fleet (not) and found this free, unlimited supply of containers. Get them now while the site is still here.
Well, almost $0! Just the cost of cardstock and ink! This looks like a pretty slick way to build up your intermodal yard background without breaking the bank. I don’t know how well they would look or work on a stack train, though! [;)]
I remember way back when I was in N scale, there was a company that sold cardboard container stacks to fill out a yard, the sheet cost me like 3 dollars, so I think these are a deal. You could build a styrene shell and glue this around it. I think I may try that, Good way to fill out your trains until you can afford the “real deal”.
If anyone builds one, post it here. I will try and get some built tomorrow.
Boy, them Fritzs are still on the ball, aren’t they? Keep us posted on how they turn out, do you print them on regular paper, or use a heavier stock? Let us know!
You don’t have to order them. You can click on each container type and a PDF file will open with each container. You can print them on your home computer.
You can also save the files if you don’t want to print them now. Especially if you’re worried about the website closing out.
My pledge if elected is a Digitrax DCC system in every home, all homes will have a basement that is at least 30 X 50 and all model railroaders are given select lumber at $1.00 per board.
I will outlaw all crappy cars and engines and make model railroading a class requirement for all school age children.
My motto, No child left behind at the station, all will MR!!!
He only had 2 N scale, I planned on taking the HO and resize them in Photoshop or something similar, I am sure MS Word would allow it. I was going to scan in a Walthers N scale container as a scale to work with.
30x50? What if I want it bigger?[:D]
Eitehr way, you can have my vote, unless someone else is running against you and offers me a better deal for my vote!
