If you get your tv programing with Direct tv you should check out channel 379 called RFD. They have several programs for trains including a one hour show called trains and locomotives that features all sorts of hot spots. Trackside, which is mostly focused on trains in the Illinios area. And, I love trains, a show all about lionel trains and peoples private collections.
Looking at the guide there will be an episode of trackside and I love trains on Thursday the 5th at 7:00 and 7:30pm EST. This episode of trackside is about train stations of London and Sweden.
Trains and locomotives is usually on Mondays at 6:00pm EST with several re-shows during the week at different times.
yep, it’s great. someone posted the info a little while back and have been watching
ever since. caught the move of a steam loco from one museum to another thru the
streets of Chicago. WOW!!!

There is a nice one on at 8:00 AM Eastern time called “Trains and Locomotives” that rebroadcasts around 3:00 or 4:00 PM on Sunday. The one I’ve remembered to catch was about Tunnel Motors on the DRG in Raton Pass. It was terrific.
I’m so pleased that they shifted RFD over to the regular transponders. I knew it was out there but couldn’t get it until July when they cut over.
Been watching Trains and Locomotives on Dish Network since at least January. They also have a show called Trackside which has been airing at 10a.m. on Mondays, shows steam , diesel and electric locos. Seems to be mostly in Illinois and a few years old , but still good. Next Monday , looks like they’re going to England. Also, after Trackside is I Love Trains, it’s Lionel and American Flyer and other vintage trains.
I keep hearing about RFDTV, and wish I could get it, but my cable company doesn’t offer it. I have been told by another member here that I have appeared on one of the shows. There was a video made of me and my layout 11 years ago, which occasionally airs in the wee hours of the morning, as part of that I Love Trains.
