Can anyone answer the question of-" what freight cars should have roller bearing trucks and what freight cars used 36" wheels. I have been at a loss on my models to use what is correct.

Any cars built from the 1960’s on, every car if your layout era is 1985 or later.

Any cars with a capacity of 90 tons or greater would have 36" wheels.

Thanks for your reply to my question. I am modeling the time proir to 1962 (thats when my RR went bust) Will any cars in that era have roller bearing trucks and 36" wheels?
