Freight cars of the 1950s
Regardless of its name, not all articles in most publications provide the era of the freight cars. The information provided in this booklet gives me sufficient information to stay within the 1950’s era that I model. With such knowledge, I do not waste money purchasing out-of-era freight cars. You receive enough information that you will seldom make a mistake. For the price, this magazine is priceless.
This is good reference material. The information on the boxcars and piggyback trailers is interesting. Nice write ups on other types of freight cars including how to ‘ice up’ reefer cars. The advertised “Track Plan” is merely a partial corner of a larger plan although the plan shown offers a lot of detail in a 8’ x 11’ area. At a 1/2-off price, it was worth the purchase.
