Freight engines on KCS line marked "DGNO"

I live within a mile or so of the KCS mainline that leads to the newly added yard in Wile, Texas. Because of the close proximity to this strech of trackage, I ride my bike to watch trian operations a lot. I live in Plano, Texas, which is where I watch the trains. There are several side tracks - some for businisses and some for trains to pass each other. Recently I have seen engines that are marked DGNO. If you know anything about this, please respond.

Chris,
The engines you speak of belong to the Dallas, Garland, & Northeastern Railroad, a.k.a the “Dingo”. The DNGO operates almost 200 miles of track in the D/FW, Texas area and also has trackage rights with the various interchange roads like KCS. For more information, check out Wes Carr’s DGNO site (and the rest of his site, it is a VERY good resource!) at http://www.trainweb.org/southwestshorts/dgno.html and also http://www.railamerica.com/html/dallas__garland.html which is RailAmerica’s DGNO site. Enjoy!!!

P.S. Chris, I also have a site focusing on the D/FW area that I am working on at www.tower55.com and I will need contributors like yourself to submit news, updates, and articles so check it out!
