Hi,
I am currently building a new layout. It is a shelf/modular hybrid, if you will. Everything is going great with it. Currently, I am working on a certain spot, the Rail Yard. A google drive attachment is linked below with the area drawn on graph paper. The scale of the graph is 1 square = 3 inches. I want it to hold casual freight (coal, oil, and boxcar freight), with some industry around the tracks of the yard. A run-around track would be really nice to have as well. Also, three buildings and a turntable (which I already own) have to go on the yard, a 1’ Atlas Turntable (the actual track on it is 9"), a 8.5" x 4" single-engine house, a 11.25" x 5.75" dual engine house, and a 6.75" x 6.5" Freight Depot. Currently on the plan (and the yard right now), the dual-track main line runs along the edge of the yard, so it shouldn’t interfere with the Yard. I’m open to ANY suggestions. Feel free to take my plan below and make a track plan. It would be greatly appreciated.

The Yard Area is the longer stretch of area on the plan.
While I suppose some folks will be happy to draw up a plan for your layout, I suggest you will be much better off doing it yourself. Get a couple Kalmbach layout design and plan books and look for ideas there.
Once you get a finished plan, post it back here on the Forum and ask for suggestions and comments. Trust me, there is a lot of pride in doing it yourself.
I would shove the existing track in your “plan” towards the wall to better utilize the space on the 5’ ends that are perpendicular to the long yard. That would put the yard in the forefront rather than the rear.
Also, is there any way of extending either one of those 5’ ends to make them longer? It’s just sorta wasted space, otherwise.
Lastly, unless your turntable is a 90-footer, I think you’re going to be challanged trying to squeeze all your structures into that alloted space. I would suggest mocking it up on the floor with cardboard so that you can arrange and rearrange your engine houses, turntable, and depot to see where it will all fit best. Drawing it up on paper is one thing; seeing it visually in front of you in 3D (and being able to make immediate changes) is another matter.
