With the sad shape of many of the freight cars in service today this plant and all others should be kept busy putting cars back in at least a reasonable shape. Many of the trains seen today
look like something from a third world country
Well, once again, we have to wonder down in Texas if the unions didn’t have anything to do with this. I think there are plenty of spaces to open a new manufacturing plant in Texas, plus cheap energy to boot. When are the unions going to learn its not 1946 anymore more? I’m sure the hate mail is coming but I keep reading of plants closing above the Mason line and opening in Texas.
Time to start making oil tank cars. BNSF is looking for some to ship out Bakken oil.
Its not really the condition of the cars its all the graffiti. Back in the 60’s & 70’s there was very liitle graffiti on cars. I can’t believe people waste time and money on spray paint to do this.
