Is there any reason I can’t use a single Frog Juicer for multiple frogs in a yard ladder? I have two double ended staging yards planned. The way the ladders are laid out, even if there was a reason for having locomotives crossing more than one frog at a time, the compound ladder I’m using doesn’t allow the clearance to do it. So as long as only one frog at a time has a locomotive on it, is there any problem with saving a few bucks and powering them all with the same Frog Juicer?
I would not do that. You have to be concerned with any cars with metal wheelsets, not just locos. Depending on the path selected, you might end up needing different polarities for different frogs, and one juicer can’t do that.
What turnouts are you using, and how are you driving the points?
Oops! I forgot about the consecutive turnouts of the compound ladder. Those frogs will indeed require the opposite plolarity for half the routes.
Thanks
