Being a railfan is as American as apple pie and Chevrolet. A railfan is an extra set of eyes and we’re not there to create problems, but to remember the days when we rode the rails from Texas to Pennsylvania. Railfans are patriotic and support our men and women in uniform 100%. We don’t open our mouth and insert our foot when it comes to degrating our President, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with his decisions. Railfans are the backbone of our country and know what good clean fun really is. Railfans are closer in family ties, as railfan families stay together.
Nothin better than crusin along the highway chasin trains in an FORD SVT Mustang Cobra Convertible!!! Chevy sucks, it can kiss my ^$$. or be kissed by the front end of a train when it breaks down on a grade crossing.
I agree with your statement for the most part. My parents and siblings all consider me the family expert on railroading and since I don’t flaunt it, everything works out fine. My wife doesn’t share my hobby but she does tease me that I married her since she lives near Clearing Yard (not true but it is a nice fringe benefit) so I know that she considers my enthusiasm for trains and railroading as part of me. As long as we don’t go overboard, everything can be fine.
