I saw and shot with my Canon 50D a UP westbound cost to cost fruit express this fall on its return trip to the central valley, take a look, and see if you like it. I used the photomerge tool in Photoshop to edit it.

Adam, it is a really nice picture and sort of brings one back to the days of the ‘fruit blocks’ over Sherman and of the hayday of Pacific Fruit Express. When SP and UP got cooperation right![tup]

The westbound “fruit block” you captured over Donner Pass may have been the dedicated empties moving from Rotterdam, NY to Delano Farms located south of Fresno.
