Some graffitist started to paint the car and his spray can exploded. Luckily it was clear gloss.
Either this car was out to foul an adjacent track, or the Medflies are back.
Kinda a neat little tear in the car, looks like something inside exploded.
To elaborate: damage appears to have taken place from right to left, getting progressively worse beginning with the right door support rod. A good, solid corner post (probably from a hopper or coal gon) was probably the culprit. Kind of glad this wasn’t the end with the refrigeration unit!
It seems it got side swap from another car or locomotive on a curve going to a switcher.
