Well, today my 9th grade calss was going to valleyfair (themepark) and along the
way I saw some really cool trains. Grain hoppers near grain industries. THis morning I felt like giving up moddel railroading because of costs, time, etc…, but then I saw those trains. Some day Im gonna model EXACTLY a Minnnesota industrie. Seeing that just really inspired me.

Again, welcome to the club. Anyway, hope you had fun at Valley Fair. I am trying to put a sound decoder in an old brass 2-6-6-2. That is a fun house type experience. By the way, my first layout was a model of the Crosby ore pit, for the very same reasons.
if it was for money model railroad would take over the world, it is expensive but the enjoyment makes up for costs. its something you slowing by one thing here or there and slowly add up to layouts, its one of the reason layouts take so long.
