Well, entertaining anyway but as OneTrackMind notes, too much negativity.

Ain’t that the truth! I wonder if Bergie hates coming to work on Monday mournings. I would.
I was just thinking earlier that is was a great weekend. Yes, we had our little hissy fit fest, with yours truly right in there stirring up the muck with the best of them, but we also had frankness, pleasantries, a marvelous Weekend Phot Fun, one of the best in some weeks, lots of discovery and self-disclosure, sharing of tips, new posters who felt comfortable enough to say hello in between the bullets. [:D]
I felt bad for Milwhiawatha at times because he put his mouth over a fire hose that was about to be turned on…but we all make that mistake, don’t we, at times? He was right to state his mind, and hopefully he now knows that inviting responses to one’s personal opinions is also an invitation to sharp disagreement…lots of it. And yes, some of the responses were razor sharp.
All-in-all, not a bad weekend at all.
“Fun” indeed. I’m looking forward to next weekend. [:)]
Who’s John Lennon??
he ws a guy in the 70’s and 80 who also put his mouth over a firehose I learned from him. oh and an Ex-beatle now worm food. I wonder if he ever played with trains.
I thought you were talking about photo fun. That was a great thread this weeken.
I like the way you spelled, “morning,” “mournings;” was that an intentional comment on the state of affairs on this forum?
Entertaining at times but, yes - a lot more posts with negativity. Big Al came to visit us under two pseudonyms. And, it looks like Bergie just axed Tracklayer’s controversial thread quoted by One Track Mind above. Must be cabin fever.
On a good note, I thought the samples on WPF this past weekend were exceptional.
Tom
Or a full moon. It’s funny when Al gets caught and then gets bent out of shape. I could have done without some of the other stuff though. The photo fun was pretty good.
Jim
It sure was a surprisingly negative weekend.
There are some good, pithy, train-related threads going at the moment, thankfully.
WELL---- I guess that’s the end of this fun weekend eh? Oh well it was a good try, and we had 1 1/2 laughs, by the way I know where Merrit is, It’s the 1/2 way point on the Coca-Cola Highway. Are there any trains going through Merrit?? ( I know ther used to be)
Monday Mourning (spelled just like that) is an expert trail at Sunday River ski area in Maine. Only a few years ago, they actually ran a Ski Train up the tracks from Portland, Maine to Bethel close to the ski area, and put skiers on a bus for the few remaining miles of the trip. They also had an old dining car parked by the station that had been converted into the Iron Horse restaurant. I guess neither enterprise was earning a profit, because they’ve both passed into history.
That was just poor spelling on my part.[D)] Just think. Two more days till the next weekend!
Can’t Wait![:P]
Maybe more people should spend their weekends away from this forum? How about actually putting in some work in on MRR projects? [:-^]
Seriously, I rarely even think about this forum on my weekends!
