CN 6218, which replaced 6167 in CN excursion service, also made it across the river to Detroit a couple of times for excursion service. I think she also ran out of Chicago once or twice.
“Steam-starved 1960’s”? How about the steam-starved 2010’s? There isn’t a single large Canadian mainline steam locomotive operating east of Alberta.
I should probably send a few bucks that way since I have a photo of me as a young lad in the early '80s with a big crap-eating grin on my face in the engineer’s window of this locomotive. Beautiful locomotive. IMO nobody had Northerns more beautiful that the CNR and its affiliates!
