i once saw this picture of an SD40-2 with the cab windows blanked out. another picture had the same locomotive, only now there was a graffiti smiley face on the boards[(-D]. not that funny but what do you have?
This train isn’t very “funny” either, but…after 5 hours waiting for a train to go passed on the KCS in Louisiana, Missouri, I finally hear one approaching from the west. When it comes into view, my eyes widen in disappointment. The horn in the distance sounded like it may be an SD70ACe or something, but instead it was a GP40-2, a GP40-2L, and just two grain hopper cars. That’s it! I asked myself, “I waited five hours to see a train and THIS is what I get? Two hopper cars!?!”
There is now a curse on Louisiana, MO, as far as train watching is concerned. [(-D]
I suspect a grain shipper had contacted Art Shoener and as that priority be given to those two cars…and priority they got…you just paid the 5 hour price.
