I found it. To each his own…I didn’t find it THAT funny.

Cheers.

I’ve seen that video before. I found it to be very juvenile and not funny at all.

I’ve seen it before and I think it’s hysterical. (but very illegal)

I found it funny the first time I saw it, but the more I see it the less funny it gets. Funny video though.

Illegal? The only illegal part about it is noise pollution, if the state they’re in has the law.

That’s what I mean. A horn that loud at ear level can damage hearing. I saw a truck at a car show that had one mounted in the bed. The guy said it was illegal to take it on the street.

I wonder what the decibel level is next to the car. In October '06 I went on one of the foliage trips with 614, and rode in the open coach on the way back form from Port Jervis. We were passing through Tuxedo, NY when a deafening horn sounded, and I thought a diesel had pulled alongside of us, even though I knew the line is single-tracked there. Some joker with a monstrous 5 or 6 chime airhorn on his roof was pacing us on the highway. Startled us even with the noise the Greenbrier was making.

I’m surprised those kids didn’t end up with some cops on their tail.

now thats some good stuff, wish id have thought of it when i was younger…

Sorry, but it’s not funny. These punks are in California and are in violation of CVC 27000 (a) and 27007. I’d also write them for PC 415 (Disturbing the Peace) if I had a complainant. They’d have the option of removing the horns while they were stopped or I’d impound the vehicle and have it done by an impound yard. I hope you’ll excuse the rant of a 25 year retired cop but people like this are not funny. It’s a form of aural grafitti and I’d write 'em for everything I could.

Actually Hornblasters is based in Florida, and they even made the local news there: Train Horns. The guy who founded the company is going to be a victim of his own success, because if they become popular it won’t be long until a law is passed banning them. Let’s hope he doesn’t end up causing a 15 car pileup in the process.

We have a group in California that does the same thing. I don’t know if they are related but some of the videos I’ve seen are shot in California at places I recognize.

This is just so juvenile. There’s no point in going out scaring people to death for your own pleasure unless you have a serious mental problem. As far as the law, that’s going to be the least of their problems when they do this to someone and get 17 rounds from a Glock through their windshield in return. Every action has consequences and they are going to pick the wrong victim one of these days, especially in Florida.

I read the replies to this before viewing the vid, & initially thought UP2CSX’s comments were unneccessarily severe. However, after watching, I agree. That was total crap. The young lady walking her dog could’ve been startled so badly she dropped her leash & the dog could’ve ran into traffic. Not to mention all the other people that could’ve had heart or nervous disorders that were doing nothing but minding their own business. If someone had a heart attack or similar, those punks would be in serious trouble. My mom hasn’t been in the best of health in the last couple years, & if they’d pulled that in front of her house, it wouldn’t be pretty-she already has to deal with the kiddies going past & their carbody shaking stereos, & the Harley riders wrapping up their pipes just a tad below illegal level (not to slam Harley guys-I have a LOT of friends that ride them, & the ones I talked to about this problem agree with me)

Yep, absolute crap-not to mention the so-called “music” that overlays the vid. You go UP2CSX-let em’ come your way!

Natural selection at it’s finest![:D] I could see some 90 year old blue hair in Fl. having a heart attack or falling over and breaking a hip.(or is it breaking a hip and falling over??[%-)])

PS- You talk like you live in CA. but your sig says AL.??

The first time I saw that I didn’t believe it! I have always thought of doing something like that! It’s like when someone cuts you off, BLAAAAAT!!! Someone parks on train tracks, BLAAAAAT!!! Some idiot comes over to wash you windsheild with a dirty sponge for drug money, BLAAAAAAAT!!! You feel like doing something stupid, BLAAAT, BLAAAT, BLAAAAAT!!! ROFLMAOLC

Is there is a law that prohibits it in Canada???

I lived in California for for almost 35 years. I was deputy sheriff full-time in LA County for five years and then a reserve for 20 years in northen California, where we moved to escape the LA smog. Unfortunately, my wife of 38 years died three years ago from leukemia. I sold the house, bought an RV, and was going to spend my retirement on the road. A long time friend of mine lived in Alabama and she had gotten divorced from a real rat of a husband a few years earlier. I stopped to see her for a week and never left - there’s just something about a Southern woman. [:)] We got married last July. I’m very lucky to have had two loves in my life.

I think it’s falling over and then breaking your hip but you bring up a good point. These guys will be liable for any injury they cause as a result of this juvenile activity. I don’t know what the law is in Florida but almost all states have laws about any sound amplification device that can be heard more than a certain distance from the vehicle, usually 50 feet. What really irritates me is that these guys are becoming minor celebrities over this. I wonder what would happen if they chose throwing M-80’s out the window instead of using a train horn? The net effect for a lot of people wouldn’t be much different.

I also got a good laugh out of it until I watched it a second time. These guys were targeting women with pets, minorities, little old ladies, and other people who would probably not fight back. I don’t like bullies and these guys are essentially mobile bullies. Florida is a right to carry state and most of the people without permits still carry anyway. If they’re lucky, they are going to do this to the wrong person and end up with a disabled car. Unlucky, they’ll end up in the ER or worse. I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t get at least a citation if a Florida officer was behind them when they pulled one of thier little stunts.

I just saw a copycat video where some jerks threw a beer bottle at a homeless man sleeping in an alley before scaring him with the horn, but unfortunately the perpetrators were too cowardly to show their faces on camera. This reminds me of those bum fight videos, or the little sweethearts who beat up other kids on camera and then upload it to YouTube. Real overachievers. [D)]

What are you talking about? You can’t even drive yet!

There were a couple good parts but it weren’t that funny. Though it does give me an idea as to what I could do to my old '95 F-350. HEHE. The fun I could have with that in the high school parking lot at lunch.

You know I am 22 and although I thought this would be some what funny. People like this make it illegal to use. We are not allowed to blow horns that loud in city limits. Even 18 wheelers have city horns and before long we will not beable to blow them on the interstates because of people like this!

But it was a great post.
