FYI: TigerValleyModels Is still in business!

TigerValleyModels, is a maker of ALCo models in white metal. I called Guil today and he is still in business “slower and older” as he said. His website provider went out of business, so no website at the present time.

He’s sending me an up-to-date product/price list which I’ll scan and can provide a link to. Low-nose RS-3m kits are out of stock, but he’s going to do a new run in the spring. I still hae a few of these kits, email/PM me for more info.

Guil can be cantacted at:

I love the RS-3m’s. Too bad Atlas wont make them.

mm51:

Thanks! I’d been trying to find information on them.

I forwarded a copy of your post to RMC. They had asked readers for any information on TVM this month, in a note on the article on making RS3m’s.

I was looking at the Railroad .net forum and there was a post from several people asking about Tiger Valley. I never recieved my confirmation email so I can’t log in over there. If someone visits them maybe they can give them your info. Or better yet have them join this forum…

Eric

I remeber seeing a brochure from him a couple years ago. He had some really nice kits. Seemed like a pretty small operation. Good to hear he’s still in business.

I have one if his RSD-12 diesels. The quality of the body castings isn’t the best ever, but it’s still a great model! Probably my smoothest runner, too. That would be a shame if TVM went out of business like other businesses are doing (Circuit City comes to mind).

I like the idea of a low nose RS-3m.
