I had a train wreck this week end, having put my 12 cars and engine on the tracks and started to run it , then the wreck happened the engine stayed on the track, all 12 cars off the bridge, the last car of the train had two little springs missing on the one side of the trucks , it let the wheels jam in the tracks ,THREE cars damaged , a tube of supper glue and 1 hour later back up and running. I checked all other trucks for missing springs. . I LEARNED one thing , check my cars from now on , before putting on the tracks to run.
BEN
Hi Benny
Hope you used a big hook to clean up the mess.
Erhmmm being serious I take it they where Aristocraft wagons
What holds in the springs the reason I ask I have to change the wheels on two new Aristocraft wagons and don’t want to be chasing springs all over the house.
regards John
You can find spare truck springs in the hook & loop couplers that come with the cars. There have been lots of threads about how to get them back in.
Ben, there ya go again, get me wanting to see PHOTOS, and all I could do was read about.
Next time have camera in hand.
Marty, Ben went 1st class at MLS but can’t quite get on how to post.
Gee Ben, I hope it wasn’t your new Hershey cars!!! It’s been to blast furnace hot for me to run anything lately, let alone have a spectacular crash…maybe next week if it cools down.[:-,]

Hey Ben,
I too got all excited at the prospect of seeing a good wreck. Oh well…at least you are back up and running. Later eh…Brian.
This last weekend we had not one but two major train wrecks on our railroad ! I didn’t see eather of them happen as I was in the house both times. The first accident happened as 6 year old CJ was in charge of a 30 car freight train and decided to change direction as the train was still moving. The other accident happened as we were putting the train to bed that fateful night . I was using the “Bridgewerks” wireless remote. I thought the power to the tracks was off but it was in reality in a dead or dirty spot . As I was in the house putting some cars away the two dash 9"s took off in reverse as smashed into the stopped and uncoupled freight train of double stacks . I have pictures of both accidents and will post them A.S.A.P. Little CJ took it hard but I told him not to worry as it’s not the first time we had accidents on our line . I’m gonna start a new photo album just for accidents ! Hope its real thin cus it can get expensive .
I’ve had a couple strange wrecks. Crossing “Malfunction Junction” the first of the heavyweight passenger cars lays down while the loco and tender continue on.
