LGB is one of the most known g scale companies another one i know of is, USA trains i own a sd40-2 of theres and very reliable. But i model HO so i dont know a whole lot about either company.
Bachmann Spectrum (use caution with the Big Haulers series) and LGB are quality manufactures of Large Scale locos. For track, LGB makes sectional track and is very reliable albeit out of scale. Micro-Engineering and LLagas Creek make excellent Large Scale flex track in codes 215, 250, as well as code 322 with either brass, aluminum or nickel silver rail. Their track, especially in codes 215 and 250 with nickel silver rail is extremely realistic-looking and will handle all commercially made equipment. Micro-Engineering also makes sectional track called “G” track. Avoid Bachmann Large Scale track as the rails are made like the old “Super O” tinplate track from Lionel - and it’s definitely not for use outdoors. Check out Trainworld and Ridge Road Station for Large Scale supplies. They are well stocked and the prices are discounted well below MSRP. Ozark Miniatures has an extensive line of excellent Large Scale detail parts. Hartford Products makes trucks (expensive but highly detailed), link and pin couplers, kits, and other details. Kadee also has an extensive line of Large Scale couplers. Aristo makes affordable plastic trucks suitable for #1 gauge and G scale narrow gauge. With metal replacement wheels from NWSL or Sierra Valley Enterprises, they are a great deal and look and work great.
Our club recently purchased some locos and rolling stock from Aristocraft, but I don’t have any personal experience in G otherwise; the club is doing a special G railroad for the zoo here.

For standard gauge steam and diesel Aristocraft, USA trains, Accucraft & LGB ,
for narrow gauge steam and diesel Aristocraft(ex Delton), Bachmann, Accucraft & LGB.
For track see LGB and Aristrocraft as they have the widest range in weatherproof track.
All these have websites and look out for Garden Rail Magazine ( sister publication to Model Railroader) and the GR forum link in the index above. You’ll find all the info you need over in the GR forum.
